Exploded View | March 2007 Bicycle, Fishing Line, Wood, Fabric, Shoes This installation was created in response to the Personal Statement 'assignment' as part of the first year of the Stanford Joint Program in Design master's program. 30 individual components from a bicycle were balanced, hung, and positioned to create a tangible exploded view of the bike assembly. A 3-D version of a traditionally 2-D drawing. The axes of bolts, wheels, skewers, and tubes etc. are all alligned with their corresponding mounts. This piece was re-installed for the Stanford student design show from spring, 2007, "Lies."
