Morphology Chandelier | 2006 Acrylic Petals, Machined Aluminum, Linear Actuator, Delrin, Light-Bulb With a switch, the petals of this lamp can be adjusted open to shed light through a larger volume. This lamp is made up of 20 petals and 216 individual parts overall. Many chandeliers provide light intensity control, but few lamps offer control over how the light is reflected or diffused. The lamp uses a small ultrasonic range sensor to detect the presence of a body. An Arduino microcontroller determines when to openen or close the lamp by sending power to the motor that controls all 20 petals.
